Aug 15, 2012HA option missing under Platform - GTM v11.1 HF4
I have 2 GTMs local to each other. I had them initially set up as active/standby on 10.2. I then installed 11.1 HF4 and after doing that to both GTMs noticed that they are now standalone and there is no option under Platform to set them up as a redundant pair.
If I reboot into a 10.2 volume I do see the option for High Availability, did something change with that on v11?
Did some searches on this but couldn't find anything on why that would happen. Any thoughts on how I get that back? Currently they are set up as standalone devices in a sync group. Any advantage/disadvantage of 2 local GTMs in sync group for active/standby setup?
Thanks!

- do you have a sync only group or a sync-failover group created for them?
one of the biggest changes between 10 en 11 is the ha part, be sure to read the details and try to test it before doing it in production. - Techgeeeg

Hi Matt,
In version 11.1 the concept of active/stand by has totally changed you may follow this document to configure the two units in redundant configuration.
