Get Tcl format config object from REST

Can anyone think of a way to retrieve configuration objects in their Tcl form (i.e. what you'd get from a

tmsh list

) over iControl REST?

One approach I tried was to write a TMSH script and invoking it over REST - unfortunately it looks like you can't get the output of CLI scripts via REST.
