FQDN Objects not respecting the DNS Interval
Hi guys,
Running 11.6.0 HF4 in our PreProd environment in AWS and we are working with development teams that want to use ELB ( Elastic Load Balancers ) behind the F5's. Personally I think its just asking for trouble but thats the situation I am in.
Have been using the FQDN auto-populate heavily and have set the Interval for FQDN to 60 seconds to match the ELB's, but I have noticed that the F5 is not honoring that interval. I have a firewall between the F5 and the defined DNS server and can see gaps up to 5 minutes between DNS queries.
Another Issue I am seeing is that I can nslookup a ELB name on the CLI but adding it as a FQDN node is a hit/miss affair and when it misses it gives me this error message, Offline (Enabled) - The DNS server(s) are unavailable.
Using a PAYG license at the moment, hence can't contact support directly on this issue.
