Find out error code/message

Hi, iControl experts,

 

 

I am using pyControl to manage BigIP. My question is if a configuration failed, how I do I I figure out the root cause of the problem?

 

 

For an example, using GUI,if I create a virtual server with destination/port/vlan traffic same as an existing virtual server, the GUI would display an errro message:

 

 

01070333:3: Virtual Server vs illegally shares both address and vlan with Virtual Server LindaVserver.

 

 

However, if I do it through pyControl, how can I retrieve the errro type/mesage afterwards?

 

 

How do I find out whether a caught exception is Common.AccessDenied, Common.InvalidArgument or Common.OperationFailed?

 

 

Can someone show me if operation failed, how do I find out the reason?
