Explanation of Tmstat command

Hi,

Is there a well-documented explanation of tmstat command and all the variables it displays. There is minimal documentation of it all but yet it is widely recommended to use it.

Regards,

Claret

    Hi Claret -

tmstat is a utility created by our developers for internal use by our Support organization.

The command is not recommended or documented for general public use.

  • Hi Deb,

    Thanks for replying.

There is mention of it being referenced in the 9.4 command documentation to gather compress stats which i gather is public domain. https://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/products/big-ip_ltm/manuals/product/CLI_guide_942.pdf.pdf

If tmstat is not recommended to be used, how does one gather CPU utilization from the cli because all the other tools i have been told (ps, top, etc) are all unix based utilities and not accurate in telling how busy the cpu is doing.

    Regards,
