Designing the LB with one NIC interface
hi there,
we have just installed a BIGP 11.2.2446 LTM VE in the network. our intention was to trunk LB to Core switch and allow the Vlans that need Load Balancing
so in summary
LB-----TRUNK,vlan 3,13---F5 does this work?
we imported the .ova file, we found 4 interfaces created in VM ( vmware F5 VM ).however
1.we are stuck on how to go ahead and create a trunk on F5 VM in VMware esxi
2.say we have allowed all 2 vlans , how to create separate interfaces in LTM whilst using while one NIC
3. the interfaces are vmnet3.none of the interfaces displayed in F5 for some reason.
thanks.

Ahh...
You don't create a trunk on the F5, because a trunk on an F5 is actually an LACP port-channel... [No I don't know why they named things that way... But the two (Cisck trunk ad F5 trunk) are as different as chalk and cheese].
What Cisco call a trunk is just tagged vlans on F5. So all you need to do is create the VLAN's on the BigIP and specify the tag id (3 & 13 in your example) for which ever VM interface you've attached those vlans to in your vswitch.
