Delete Partition

Any easy way to delete the partition without deleting all the objects?

I already tried below procedure but got an error that all objects must be removed from a partition before the partition may be removed, type IP (456)

Procedure: Access the partition in: /config/partitions/(partition name) rm -f bigip.conf tmsh load sys config tmsh delete auth partition (partition name)

Why do you want to remove the partition but keep the objects? Sounds like you want to move them to a different partition.

Since the objects are created within the partition, they are a part of it and thus, needs to be removed from it before it can be deleted.

Think of it like this, imagine you have a box full of content and you want to remove the box but you want to keep the content inside the box. In order to throw out the box you need to empty it first. The same principal applies to partitions, since they are containers for configuration objects.

I think the question was probably how to delete the partition and it's objects without having to first delete the objects separately.
