Client errors on VIP

Hi all, I have client errors on new VIP use port 80 on both sides. All of my clients is coming from our internal WAN. I am trying to read about and guess it has something todo with defaul TCP profile that used. Should I change to TCP-WAN profile from F5? Any sugestions?

  • Do you have a specific reason to suspect the TCP profile? Are the clients and servers on the same subnet (or at least know how to route directly to each other)? Do you have a SNAT profile applied to the VIP?

  • No I just want to know, why I have client errors on the VIP, the application is working ok. No the clients are on remote sites in a internal MPLS WAN and the servers are at a datacenter. Yes I use SNAT automap, as the server and the F5 are not at the same subnets.

  • The default standard TCP profile is not optimized. You can create a customized TCP profile, bump up RX/TX buffers to 65K and also Proxy Buffer Low -98304& High - 131704. Disable Nagle if your application is latency sensitive and ensure SACK is enabled.

We do need to understand what "client errors" are occurring.

  • I want to understand also what is causing the "client errors" and fix it. Sorry but I missed one thing. I see the client errors on the VIP undet httpd profile.
