Changing bigip_base.conf Issue

When I try modify the bigip_base.conf file, I verify the config and it does not have any errors. When I try to actually load it though, it gives an error about the HA interface. I have to take off the configsync, failover, and mirror settings, and then load it. Once I have done that, then I load it and its fine. Then I have to go back in and re-assign the HA settings. Is there any way around this?
