Big IP LTM trial version
Hi Team,
I am just trying to run big IP LTM virtual edition 110.1.0.3341.1084 on Vmware ESXi 5. All the configuration is done and when i try to access the application I am facing damm slowness and not sure why it so.
As per the documentation its saying big Ip ltm Ve edition 10.1.0.3341.1084. is supported on Vmware ESX 4 and not on 5. is that the reason for this issue?
Also I am not able to download any other version higher than 10.2.2 which is supported on ESXI 5, since it permitting me to Generate the trial version.
Please help me on this. This is really critical.
Waiting for an update.
Regards
Aknair

Which is the latest stable version for virtual appliance to download? - hoolio
Cirrostratus
11.3 was recently released and has the most current feature set. 11.2.1 is a good stable build if you don't need the latest features. I wouldn't bother testing 10.x if this is for a new potential deployment.
You can check the release notes for details:

one more Questions,
We installed the VE edition software on a vmware Hyperviser machine. server have currently two IP address range configured already.
so I used one IP for Virtual appliance management console and another IP for internal self IP. when I tried to add one more same IP address in that range for external then i got an error the IP address range is already configured for internal and you cannot use it again .so please select another IP range.
server has no more network interface and i cannot add any more IP range. so how can i fix this
is it mandatory to have external IP, can i use self ip only here. Please help me on this.

Two VLANs and related interfaces cannot share the same IP subnet. You do not need an external VLAN/IP but if just using one you'll need to ensure you have SNAT configured on each VS to ensure return traffic passes back through the BIG-IP. - Akhilesh_128432

Ok Thanks.
a) Right now 10.80.10.101 is the IP configured for management
b) 10.80.97.42 is the IP configured for internal ( self IP)
c) VIP is runnig on 10.80.97.44
d) my application server are running on 10.80.97.221 & 10.80.97.222
e) I didn't added external self IP.
can you please confirm the above IP configuration is fine.
Now you are saying for virtual server configuration I need to select SNAT-automap right? - What_Lies_Bene1
Cirrostratus
Yes that will work as long as SNAT-automap is configured. There are other SNAT options but this is the simplest. - Akhilesh_128432
