BIG-IP Edge Client Pre Installation Configuration

Hi;

 

I would like to provide the windows installation package and the mac installation package with the server URL already built in.

 

For example let's say I am a user, I download the package then when I install the Edge Client the Server is already prepopulated for me and all what I need to do is supply my credentials.

 

Can this be done and if yes, how.

    Hi Wasfi,

    In the connectivity profile under the "Win/Mac Edge Client" > "Server List" section you can enter an Alias and a Host name. This configuration item is labled as:

    Server List - Specifies virtual servers for the connectivity profile. Virtual servers 
configured in this list are available from the pull-down list in the BIG-IP Edge Client™.

    This seems to be what you are asking for. Update the Profile and then generate your packages via the UI for Win and Mac and let us know if you have any other questions.
