Mar 22, 2007BIG-IP-2000 Bundled or Unbundled? What is the difference?
I have 2 BIG-IP 2000 switches and when I pulled the serial information from F5 then this is the info I got for one unit:
F5-BIG-2000,R,C,U BIG-IP 2000, REDUNDANT, CRYPTO, UNBUNDLED
and this is what came up for the other unit:
F5-BIG-2000,R,C BIG-IP 2000, REDUNDANT, CRYPTO, BUNDLED
Anyone know the difference?
Thanks!

- Tech_Imp_40243Historic F5 AccountIt looks like either a different SKU was purchased for the second unit. To be sure, you could contact support and ask them to check for you. You will need the BigIP serial numbers off each box and it is a pretty straight forward thing for them to do.
- Previous F5 SKU's would bundle in things like installation into the price. The installation portion of the SKU was only required for one of the systems, and of course the other was installed at the same time. Most additional items were bundled with a pair of boxes and only one had the additional options.
It's really nothing to worry about, but I would check with support (or check AskF5.com) to see when End-of-Support (EoS) is for that particular model as the 2000 was replaced by the 2400 model and you may be facing an earlier EoS than normal because of that.
