ASM wildcard URL

Greetings:

 

We are trying to wildcard a URL. We checked devcentral but couldn't find the answeres to 2 questions:

 

when the wildcard url is hit, we assume it would add an entry to traffic learning, and from there we would accept then entry. The url changes, so there would be many entries to approve. The url has the following settings:

 

• the URL is configured for 'wildcard' the entry is similar to "/somedir/someotherdir/*"

   

• perform staging is not checked

   

• learn explicit entries "add all entries"

   

• wild card match includes slashes

   

the url size is dynamic and be as long as 5000 characters and is blocked by

 

Unparsable request content URL length: 3755 exceeded maximum limit of : 2048

 

The Second question is, will the ASM drop the URL due to the length before it hits the whitelist?
