Nov 13, 2014Access to files on an inactive partition
Dear all,
is there any way to access files on an inactive partition ie HD1.1
without booting the device from it? Issue is that we are running
11.6 HF1 from HD1.6 and need now some scripts under /root...

Nov 13, 2014Sure. Just mount them from the command line. e.g.
mkdir /mnt/tmp_root
mount /dev/mapper/vg--db--sda-set.XXX.root /mnt/tmp_root
where XXX is the id of the 'slot' you want to mount. The files will be accessible under /mnt/tmp_root/root
unmount afterwards with
umount /mnt/tmp_root
