.UCS file is getting created everyday by a unknown process.
We are experiencing a low disk space issue with a directory /var/local. While troubleshooting we found .ucs file is getting created everyday by a unknown process and that is utilizing lot of disk space.
We have not created any scheduled job to take backup of everyday. We want to kill the process that is triggering the backup.
Could you please help me to know: 1- Is there any system process that would create backup everyday? 2- How to find is there any scheduled job is running and that is creating the backup file?
Thanks in advance for your help. log:
ls -lh /var/local/ucs/

Hmmm, could be a cron job. Login as root and enter this to check:
crontab -e - Thiyagu_163984

Thanks for your reply.
Here is the crontab output. I'm not finding any jobs scheduled at any particular time frame.
cron tab for root1-59/10 * * * * /usr/bin/diskmonitor MAILTO="" 11 * * * * /usr/bin/copy_rrd save
Can you please guide me to find is there any other way to find which is triggering the scheduled backup.

have a look at your /etc/cron.... directories, there might be something there.

Thanks for your help. I have checked the CRON directory for daily, weekly jobs and could not found any scheduled jobs related to system backup.
cron.daily ll total 10 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 36 May 11 04:09 asm_update_sigfile -> /usr/share/ts/bin/asm_update_sigfile -rwx------ 1 root root 2291 Mar 12 2014 logrotate -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 36 Oct 3 2013 runupdatecheck -rwx------ 1 root root 312 Mar 12 2014 tmpwatch lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 36 May 11 04:09 update_dpi_sigfile -> /usr/share/ts/bin/update_dpi_sigfile
