Hi Expert There is ongoing requirement for putting all internet facing applications behind web application firewall, and WAF TPS consume F5 CPU and memory and other parameters as well. Fear is that we may fall into any issue in future due to ongoing increase in services shifting on BIG IP F5 boxes. Could you gyz please add your comment how we can procced with our boxes sizing customer need is that to check if we going to exceed our resources in future however there is any negative impact. There is any method.Solved812Views0likes6CommentsSNMP for concurrent Throughput of pool member?
Hi Do we have snmp to get concurrent throughput of pool member / Interface / vlan ? I found snmpwalk -v 2c -c public 127.0.0.1 1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.2.2.5.4.3.1.6. but this walk show me accumulative ByteIn of pool member. It's can't show me concurrent ByteIn (Thoughput). Hi guys, I'm trying to figure out max throughput on LTM. So I've seen "Dashboard", "Performance Graph(Throughput)", "CLI Command(tmsh show sys performacne)". These values are all different. dashboard value changes in every 3 sec.( Performance graph(per 10sec), show sys perforamance throughput(8~15sec)) I'd like to know. What is real(?) Throughput? and Why there is difference?, What is difference? How LTM displays the throughput value. (polling OID internally? or something) If you know about this, HELP ME. Thank you, in advance.389Views0likes2CommentsHTTP Redirect when high Throughput
Hi, Hope someone can help. I need to find a way to redirect Traffic to another site when the Big IP Throughput is over "X"Mbps (about 850-900) so when there is too many incoming user requests want to redirect new users to different site. I know how to get the Throughput from SNMP but didnt find a way to get it from iRule to apply the redirect rule. I understand that i can do it via iStat but cannot understand how. when i run "istat dump" in bash i get empty result "/var/tmstat/cluster.tm2 [READONLY]: nextBlockId=384, last update at 2017-03-09 17:10:12 all facts:" so i understand i need to set the throughput parameter somehow. According to this document at https://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/solutions/public/14000/800/sol14810.html The below table shows vCPU restrictions according to different licensing. My question is: Best bundle 25Mbps shows values for AFM and Best Bundle but the rest of modules shows N.A 1. What does N.A means? Document stated "Rate licenses not available for standalone modules or bundle licenses are represented below with not applicable (N.A.)." I was also told I can purchase a minimum of 200Mbps ASM VE license while my Best Bundle 25Mbps which includes ASM will run at 25Mbps? Meaning my ASM will run at 25Mbps limitation? Got confused by these throughput limitations especially bundle versus standalone VE licenses.281Views0likes3Comments
