load balancer

Hi all, We have installed CE site in our network and this site has established IPSEC tunnels with RE nodes. The on-prem DC site has workloads (e.g actual web application servers that are serving the client requests). I have citrix netscaler background and the Citrix Netscalers ADCs are configured with VIPs which are the frontend for the client requests coming from outside (internet), when the request land on VIPs, it goes through both source NAT and destination NAT, its source address is changed to private address according to the service where the actual application servers are configured and then sent to the actual application server after changing the destination to IP address of the server. In XC, the request will land to the cloud first because the public IP, which is assigned to us will lead the request to RE. I have few questions regarding the events that will happen from here after Will there going to be any SNAT on the request or will it send it as it is to the site? And if there is SNAT then what IP address will it be ? and will it be done by the RE or on-prem CE There has to be destination NAT. Will this destination NAT is going to be performed by the XC cloud or the request will be sent to the site and site will do the destination NAT ? When the request will land the CE it will be landed in VN local outside so this means that we have to configure the network connector between the VN Local outside and the VN in which the actual workloads are configured, what type of that VN would be ? When the request will be responded by the application server in local on-prem the site the request has to go out to the XC cloud first, it will be routed via IPSEC tunnel so this means that we have to install the network connector between the Virtual network where the workloads are present and site local outside, do we have to install the default route in application VN ? Is there any document, post or article that actually help me to understand the procedure (frankly I read a lot of F5 documents but couldn’t able to find the answers184Views0likes10CommentsIntermittent Net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET Error and Incomplete Loading over HTTPS
I have an F5 load balancing setup configured with two servers. My MVC web application, which incorporates Kendo UI, Jquery, and bootstrapping, is hosted on an IIS server with an SSL certificate. However, when accessing the application via HTTPS from outside the server, it often or sometimes results in a 'net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET' error, with intermittent failures to load javascript and CSS files to the client browser. Strangely, upon reloading the page, the assets load properly, and the page functions as expected. This issue did not occur when the application was accessed via HTTP, where it worked properly without any issues. What could be the reason behind this problem?490Views0likes2CommentsMove connections to another node via the API
I am very new to F5 and the API. I am looking for a way to move our Application's active sessions/connections from one node to another via the native API. I need to do this so I can shut down the node after all connections are moved over, so I can upgrade it. Is this possible? Thank you!254Views0likes0CommentsF5 equivalent of Alteon's buddy helthchecks
Hi all, I'm in the process of migrating old Radware Alteon load balancers onto F5 kit. On the Alteons they have what's known as a "buddy health check". Basically what it does is monitor a second node, and if that goes down then the first node is marked as down too. For example, Server A is configured to have Server B as its buddy. If the health check for Server B fails, the load balancer will mark Server A as down. I'm aware this could be done using Priority Group Activation, however in this case Server A is being health checked on port 3000 whilst Server B is health checked on port 3001. Data for both is on port 7021. Is this setup achievable on an F5? Thanks!457Views0likes1CommentUnable to Connect to VIP after Load Balancing - F5 BIG IP
I have VIP 192.168.8.9 on BIG IP F5 which is Pinging and able to talk to Pool members(webservers) 8.1 and 8.2 on on port 80. Pool members able to ping VIP and telnet on port 80. yet, the VIP (loadblancer) is not Routing the HTTP requests to webservers. all the Pool members are green, so is the virtual server. Your Thoughts and advivce is appreciated. any further detail required, please do let me know.532Views0likes2CommentsF5 load balancer and session time out for asp.net page when page post back
i deployed asp.net application in two asp.net servers and users access this application through F5 Load balance. here we facing issue when user was idle on asp.net page for 10 min , and after when user click the button on page, and page can not be displayed message appers in IE, and in firefox below message The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading. In IIS default session timeout value is 20 Min In F5 TcpIP time out value :10 Min661Views0likes1CommentF5 TCP Issue
Hi, We have a destination IP - 1.1.1.1 being accessed via an application from src-172.20.20.1, and there is no delay in response. Now the destination is a VIP behind the LB with 10 pool members. When accessing destn VIP, there seems to be a delay from 2-3ms to 50ms. But when accessing the pool member from the same source, there is no response delay. Not sure how F5 is adding to the delay here, because ping response from source to 1.1.1.1/VIP/pool member is same <2ms. Any insight would be gr8 here? Thanks -genseek325Views0likes10Comments
