For what purpose are the following certificates installed on the device by default?

I don't think I've ever actually used them on a customer's network.

If you use it, what is the certificate for?

'default' certificate primary uses are to secure HTTPS access to the webUI interface, and to build trust between two BIG-IP peers when configuring an HA cluster.

@hakeemkim The CA ones are the globally trusted CA bundles and can be used when needing to only trust SSL certs from the trusted CAs.
