Persistance rule based on uri jsessionid

I have an application that does not rely on session cookies but instead relies on uri jsessionid as https:///sync;jsessionid=7C8CF2A913ABB9A36696C6F9285C93D1 how would one go about configuring persistent sessions based on this.

The backend is a tomcat applications server and uses jvmroute appended to the session id as jsessionid=7C8CF2A913ABB9A36696C6F9285C93D1.jvmrouteid
