How to create this irule and how to apply?

Hi All,

I appreciate if someone can help me for this issue:

I deployed the LTM+WA for a customer who are using MS Sharepoint 2010. The issue is that when a client using https to access to the portal through F5. They can't download the files on Portal. I investigated and found that properly it is because of no catche in the header responding from F5 to client. This should be done by writing an irule and applied to f5 but I am quite new and don't know how to write an irule and how to apply to f5. So can someone help me for this?

Thanks & regards,

Kiet

  • Can you let us know what version you are running please. Regardless, I don't think the menu's have changed between versions for iRules objects. So, to create an iRule, in the GUI, it's Local Traffic > iRules > Create. Give your iRule a name and use the text box to enter the iRule. I'm assuming at this point that you'll want to just copy and paste an example from somewhere.

To apply the iRule: Local Traffic > Virtual Servers > 'Name' > iRules and select the iRule you've created.
  • is this irule you are talking?

  • Hi Beneath, Nitass,

Thank you for your information! it should be that. I will try as your instruction.

BTW, it is something strange as below:

it won't happen if I stop the WA function by unchecking WA profile in VS configuration and still use the SSL profile.

Do you have any idea about this?

    Thanks,
