GSLB_pool down_question

Hi, nice to meet you.

Is it possible to switch to another center if one service port dies after grouping only the service port separately from one IP address among GTM functions?

Currently in one IP

ex)

wide ips: www.test.com

pool: www.1.test.com (1.1.1.1:443, 1.1.1.2: 8122)

pool: www.2.test.com (2.2.2.1:443, 2.2.2.2:8122)

pool: www.3.test.com (3.3.3.1:443. 3.3.3.2:8122)

wide ips: mail.test.com

pool: mail.1.test.com (1.1.1.1:443, 1.1.1.2: 8122)

pool: mail.2.test.com (2.2.2.1:443, 2.2.2.2:8122)

pool: mail.3.test.com (3.3.3.1:443. 3.3.3.2:8122)

wide ips: map.test.com

pool: map.1.test.com (1.1.1.1:443, 1.1.1.2: 8122)

pool: map.2.test.com (2.2.2.1:443, 2.2.2.2:8122)

pool: map.3.test.com (3.3.3.1:443. 3.3.3.2:8122)

The domains www, mail, and ips are each set up in three data center areas. (All 3 GSLBs have config sync completed)

Here, if only one of the pool www.1.test.com dies, can the www and mail pools excluding the map be processed in groups from 1 center to 2 centers?

  • as those are different Apps running on the same server but serving different application in technical term it should exclude www and mail. Only test should die.

In the actual customer setup, there are a total of 12 services running on the same server.

The customer requested that only 8 services be grouped so that even if only 1 of the 8 services dies, the whole can be converted to another center.

So how do you exclude those 8 services?
