Booting from USB

Hi all,

I'm trying to re-image 3600 box using USB with 11.3.0, using the following link: http://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/solutions/public/13000/100/sol13164.html

when I tried to boot the device using the USB it gives me the below option:

Terminal type? [vt100]

when I pressed Enter it gives me the below shell:

bash (try 'info') / >
bash (try 'info') / >

Kindly advice, what the right steps, to boot correctly from the USB?

  • is there any error before showing prompt (bash (try 'info') / >)?

  • yes the below error:

error: tm_install::Process::Process_default_init -- did not find any disks.
Can't save log permanently; no boot volume available.
    Log saved to /tmp/install.log
    bash (try 'info') / >

      Hi Refra,

I've same problem with my Big-IP 6900. Did you succeed in solving this case?

  • error: tm_install::Process::Process_default_init -- did not find any disks.

i think you may have to open a support case.

by the way, the steps you performed should already be correct.
