Hello,
i am running F5 BIG-IP on vmware. i forgot the password for the root username. by that i am not able to access F5 GUI through it's management IP address. how to change the root password from the CLI note that i am not able to login.

thank you mohamad, i did this step and password changed succesfully but when reboot and try to login with my new password it's not working

Could you please repeat the steps located in this KB : https://support.f5.com/csp/article/K35811337
maybe there are some missing points , as I followed it and tested it on my lab and it worked great.
> also make sure with your bootlocation such as "HD1.1 or HD1.2 .... " to mount
mount /dev/mapper/vg--db--sda-set.2._config /sysroot/config
mount /dev/mapper/vg--db--sda-set.2._var /sysroot/var
there are platforms uses vda instead of sda so you need to change it in each mount script.
