What version of PowerShell are you using? Also, can you verify that the value in $pool_name is correct before making the call? The get-f5.ltmpoolmember cmdlet is a wrapper for the LocalLB.Pool.get_member method in the PowerShell cmdlet library so they should be functionally equivalent.
