Wowza Live stream load balance through F5
Hi we have BIG IP F5 1600 and we want to load balance HLS stream which is through our Wowza streaming server. How it can be possible as we have 2x wowza servers on which live TV streaming we want our thousand user to load balance across these 2 wowza severs. At this point we have have created virtual server on F5 on which service port 1936 is running its tcp based VS. Now stream only loads for few seconds then it stops then we try again it plays agains for few seconds then stops. On F5 we see for 1 Live stream there are 3 or 2 current connections in Virtual Server stats.
Kindly suggest what do we need to change to load balance this HLS based live streaming.
Thanks Ali
Have you tried with persistence?
- Set your Persistence (Virtual Server - Resources) to
. Then close your browser and try again with a New WindowSource IP

Hi we having the same issue. but for us this solution is not working. i suspect its because the clients passing through CDN . mean the Layer4 is the CDN. i need a way to make a Layer 7 so it will take the RealClientIP and will persist it.
