Why use partition and defined vips in it?

Why do we need to be specific about partitions. Why are partitions created and what is the if we have all the vips in a single partition please help me understand this either on the ltm or the gtm  ...

You don't need them, everything can remain in the common partition. They are strictly an administrative tool to allow owners to slice up the box amongst application owners, operators, managers, etc, and give them just a view (or control) over their specific objects.
