Whiteboard Wednesday question.

Just enjoyed watching a couple of Devcentral's Whiteboard Wednesday videos. Great job. After the first video, I looked over some other WWs to watch. Mixed in were some other videos that seemed unrelated to f5. a couple of the titles were:

Vulnerability, Intimacy, & Spiritual Awakening (Tara Brach)

Best Christian Muslim Debate everJesusorMuhammed

Bill Nye

Did Devcentral get hacked? or did I (my browser) get hacked?

  • Hi there. On some of our search functions we use a Google Custom Search that will display external content in some situations. Can you tell us where you ran into this and we can make sure it doesn't happen again.

  • I viewed a Whiteboard Wednesday. At the conclusion of the video, a menu is presented that has more WWs to choose from - that is where some non-f5 videos were offered.

I just watched "Whiteboard Wednesday: Global Traffic Manager Load Balancing Algorithms Part 5". At the conclusion, 3 out of the 12 offerings were non-f5 videos.

Ran through it a couple more times, and got varying number of non-f5 offerings in the 3 x 4 grid (I-frame or something).

    • Ahh.... Because we post our videos to YouTube and embed them within the Whiteboard Wednesdays on DevCentral, these are generated by YouTube based on cookie/cached data and or similar videos. It's all up to YouTube when they provide the suggested video grid. I get video games and other such fun on mine. Hope this helps.
