WebSphere wsadmin, jython, and iControl

Hi all--I have what might seem an odd question:

Does anyone have any experience using WebSphere's wsadmin scripting environment in jython mode to run iControl.jar or pycontrol to control an f5 LTM, or any theories as to how to go about it? Is it even possible?

We're looking to create a unified software deployment system, hosting scripts on WAS deployment managers; part of the deployment process involves disabling certain pool members in a clustered environment for code testing before being officially released to the public.

I have very little experience with jython or java in general, but I believe I've got the hang of automation using pycontrol2 in python.

Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
