Vlan-tagging in Workstation/Player

Anyone know if it's possible to get the virtual networking environment within VMware workstation or player to handle vlan tags, and if so, how? I know this can be done in esx/esxi with virtual guest ...

vmware workstation will just pass the vlan tags from the guest. I dont think vmware workstation/player support vlan tags but I believe there are more VM images or tools out there that can handle vlan tags within vmware workstation/player.
