Virtual BIG IP 11.3 - Pool Offline Issue
Hello to everyone,
This is my first post on F5, so please excuse if its considered a silly one for any reason.
I've successfully setup a BIG IP v11.3 appliance under VMware workstation. The appliance is part of my study setup.
The appliance has three interfaces, 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3, plus the Management.
I've configured the Management, Internal and External interfaces and everything is pingable without a problem. On the internal interface (10.2.0.145), I have three web servers 10.2.0.11, 10.2.0.22 & 10.2.0.33. All these are pingable from the F5 appliance and between each other, and I have verified their web services works correctly using the following command from the F5 appliance prompt: curl http:\10.2.0.11, .22 and .33 respectively.
The problem is that I've created a pool that contains these three nodes as members and also setup health monitoring from within the Pool, using the HTTP health monitor. For some unknown reason, the Pool Health Monitor shows that the pool is Offline and that the children pool members are down.
If I use the TCP Health Monitor, it correctly shows the pool members active, however I am unable to access any of the pool members from a 3rd PC connected to the external interface of the F5 appliance.
I am confident something odd is happening in the pool configuration and would ask for some guidance so I can resolve this issue.
Looking forward to your replies and suggestions.
Many thanks,
Chris.

Seems you need to be more specefic in http health monitoring.
Can you paste the output of any one server curl command?

Hello Jinshu,
thanks so much for your reply.
I actually setup the lab from scratch again and this time it worked. I have a feeling the problem was something to do with the Floating IP for the internal interface, which I must have missed during the initial setup.
The problem has been resolved, so all is great!
Thanks again.
Chris.
