NimbostratusVIP without pool member for rewrite profile
I want to make F5 LTM as a reverse proxy.External url should rewrite to internal URL with addition single sign on method enabled using APM module.
My query here is I wont map any pool member for that VIP.Whether the request will send to internal DNS server for the DNS [internal URL]resolution? Will this setup have disadvantage?
Could you anyone help on this

The APM portal rewrite mode/function doesn't require a pool selection. You enter a URL into the portal resource properties and APM will resolve that resource via DNS.

An SSO can be assigned directly to the portal resource. Not sure exactly what you mean by "specific AD authenication server to authenicate and any specific certificate". Client access to the portal can be anything you want, like client certificate. One thing you do have to mindful of is that all of the SSO methods will get their SSO inputs from whatever is collected in this client side authentication.
