vCMP host details from Virtual Guest

Hello,

 

If you want to know which vCMP Host is hosting your Guest from your Guest (CLI or GUI) it is not possible to my knowledge. if it were possible it would be a big vulnerability in terms of security.

 

The best solution is to connect to Host and check on vCMP then Guest list or in tmsh: tmhs list vcmp guest.

 

When I thinking of it there may be a way, via serial number. If you have "Chassis Serial Number" of your Host/blade(vipirion), the Guest inherits it. So if you have all " Chassis Serial Number" you can easly find where your Guest is installed (to check Chassis Serial Number, you can view it in System then configuration).
