MVPvCMP guest states
Deployed and Configured are pretty clear to me, but what is the use of Provisioned? Don't really understand why you wouldn't move from Configured to Deployed at once.
Also, is it possible to attach a detached virtual disk again to a new / other vCMP guest?

From the vCMP Admin Guide:
When you move a vCMP guest to the Provisioned state, the system allocates resources (CPU cores, physical memory, and so on) to that guest. The guest also creates virtual disks for the guest and installs the selected ISO image on them. A guest does no run while in Provisioned state.
You may have change controls that you have to abide by for bringing things online, or perhaps you are preparing for future work. I guess there could be many reasons why you would want to prep an instance an not actually power it on.
You can re-attach an existing disk to a new instance:

Eric - boneyardthanks Eric, you are right, you could think of a reason, though not a very strong one in my opinion, but well not much of an issue.
also good to see F5 says you should be able to reattach a disk, because i have been unable to do so (cant select anything except none), ill create a case for that.
