v13 BIG-IP DNS Completion Rate questions
In the v13.1 DNS Load Balancing manual, the dynamic load balancing method 'Completion Rate' is defined as below
"BIG-IP® DNS distributes DNS name resolution requests to the virtual server that currently maintains the least number of dropped or timed-out packets during a transaction between a data center and the client's LDNS."
My questions on this are below: 1) Are the transaction(s) referred to in the definition the result of the LDNS probe process? 2) Is this a load balancing method that can be used with anything other than LTM systems?
I suspect the answer to 1 is yes and 2 is no, but I'd like confirmation from F5.
