upgrading from 11.2 to 11.6. Do I need to re-activate licensing active/passive for staggering my upgrade
I have a pair of 1600 LTM devices. On 10/3/2014 I upgraded the passive device from 11.2 to 11.6 and everything went well. This device now runs in active mode. I wanted to run this device for a few days in production before I upgrade the other device. I followed the instructions in the docs about upgrading active/passive devices. Do I need to update the licensing again when I plan to upgrade the other now device? I assume there is some kind of time frame for this. I read some links about people this while upgrading... doing one device and testing for a week then doing the other device. appreciate any input. thanks!

Just make sure, that the license of the F5 which you go to upgrade is re-activated recently.

I re-activate before any upgrade just to make sure the license is good. Worst thing in the world to get in the middle of it and find out otherwise.
If you're still paying the maintenance bill for them, you can re-activate them, and if it doesn't activate (i've had this once or twice), then call support and they will activate it for you.
