Upgrade issue from 1.7 to 2.x
I tried to upgrade F5MP to 2.0 from 1.7. Once the install was failed due to DB roll back or something, I can even upgrade to 2.1 or uninstall from control panel.
Could you provide me how I can do clean install 2.1 into the machine? I don't need any data of previous version F5 MP.
Thanks,
Takahiro

- Dave_Ruddell_79Historic F5 AccountCan you please send the file to ? It appears we are having some issues with file attachments in our forums. We can also assist you via email as well. Thank you and sorry for the inconvenience.

I'm sorry about the problems you're experiencing with upgrade / uninstall of the F5 Management Pack. For some reason I cannot access the setup log file attached to your post. Please send it to managementpack(at)f5.com. If you want to uninstall the F5MP and start a clean slate, make sure first you remove any override management packs that depend on the F5 MP. You can find out the (override) management packs that are depending on the F5MP by using the SCOM Operations Console > Administration > Management Packs > Right-click on the F5 Management Pack > Properties > Dependencies > Management Packs that depend on this Management Pack. Unless you delete the management packs that are depending on the F5MP, you won't be able to do uninstall the F5MP from the Control Panel.
If we get the setup log from you, I can probably tell more about the issues you're having.
Thank you.
Julian - Julian_Balog_34Historic F5 AccountTakahiro,
I got the log file, and the error seems to be with the F5.Sample.VSBytesOut override management pack (see error excerpt bellow):
FatalError: Dependencies found on F5 Management Pack. Please remove the following dependencies and try uninstall again: 既定の管理パック
TestVSStats
F5.Sample.VSBytesOut Still, we can assist you trying to fix the upgrade issue, so you won't have to lose your existing data. I would suggest saving the override pack (F5.Sample.VSBytesOut) and then delete it. You can then attempt to upgrade again. If the upgrade fails again, send us the setup log to managementpack(at)f5.com. If upgrade is successful, you can re-import the override pack.
Let us know, how it goes.
Thanks!
Julian - Julian_Balog_34Historic F5 AccountTakahiro,
Can you please re-run the upgrade for the F5MP and confirm that you get the same error? I just want to make sure the problem that you had wasn't an isolated issue (as there was a management pack import timeout error during upgrade, in the setup log file you sent us).
Thank you.
Julian - hirox_127495Historic F5 AccountI'm sorry for the late due to lab maintenance.
Unfortunately I couldn't better result than previous.
What I did was just export/delete management pack you pointed and re-ran install.
I sent full setup log to the e-mail address but here is only I can see error in the log.
