Underscore in domain name

Hi,

 

In ASM, trying to add a domain name or allowed redirect domain with an underscore (_) in it and getting an error even though underscore is allowed in domain names in the RFC.

There is any way that I can add domain name with an underscore in it to an ASM policy?

    Pleas share the RFC you have referenced.

     

    There is no domain name settings in ASM. Did you mean hostname?

     

    You must always share the error message you see.

     

    In my Lab, I get error message: Could not add the Valid Host Name 'test_in.com'. Failed validating value 'test_in.com' for Host Name: The value must be a valid host name or a valid IP address.

     

    Did you see the same?

     

    I recommend opening a case with f5 support in order to get information.

    If you are referring to the HTTP Redirection Protection feature in ASM, there could be a limitation based on RFC1035. For more information, refer to https://support.f5.com/csp/article/K14020243
