You can try double-checking whether the point-to-point daemon is running on your machine. You could also double-check to see if port 44444 is open (it might be blocked if you are using a firewall).

I tried checking the command sudo ufw status and the result is Inactive. So I believe all ports will be enabled.pppd is also looks fine
