Troubleshooting Sessions in the F5
Dear F5 Community,
Is there a way to troubleshoot sessions that are flowing through the F5 VS's to the back end pools? For instance, if a user complains that they were in the web portal (via the VS) and then got randomly kicked back to the login screen, is there a way to reasonably troubleshoot that issue in the F5? Are there any debugs or logs one could look at in the F5 that might help to troubleshoot an issue like that? I can troubleshoot CONNECTIONS easily enough using the "show sys connections" command as well as packet captures using tcpdump, but the actual session info, I am having trouble finding a way to troubleshoot those issues. Does the F5 keep track of the session activity flowing through it?
Thanks.
Hi ccraddock,
If you don't use a persistence profile in virtual server, you may encounter the problem you said.

We have a persistence profile assigned. It using encrypted cookies. Its basically the stock cookie profile just with encryption. Is there a way to troubleshoot whats happening behind the scenes with the profile?
Thanks.
