Feb 11, 2012trouble shooting for config sync on V11.1
I'm using LTM1600 with V11.1.
But, config sync wasn't successful, now.
In my understand, there is a nice article for v10 system.
http://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/solutions/public/7000/000/sol7024.html
How about V11?
Is there any similar document?
What should I do for config sync trouble shooting?
Even I checked ltm logs , there was NO any log when config sync fail.
What kind of file or command should I check for that?
Regards

i have not seen configsync troubleshooting document for v11 so far.
have you checked /var/log/ltm on both sides?
i understand there is improvement in 11.1.0 hf2 and 11.2.0 but they are not released yet. - gta_34274

Thank you for your info.
What is the improvement point at next version(HF2 or 11.2)?
Could you give me an information?
Today, I changed log level for mcpd, and I saw the following log in ltm when config sync fail.
From Peer

Is there any hint from these logs for trouble shooting?
When I tried to config sync from not only GUI but also CLI, I didn't see any error.
Is this a design?
Very difficult,isn't it ?!

Could you give me an information?i do not have much information too since it has not been released. i said improvement since sometime i have seen bug id which is fixed 11.1.0 hf2 and 11.2.0.
Is there any hint from these logs for trouble shooting?i do not think there is a clue.
When I tried to config sync from not only GUI but also CLI, I didn't see any error.
Is this a design?i suggest opening a support case if you do not see anything wrong in your configuration.

Thank you for your info.
But, I'm little confusing,,.
Why did you say "there is a improvement at next version"?
I thought you have some reason.
Conclusion is there is NO check point or tool using any command or see a log etc,,,.?!
I'm very sad,,.

Hi GTA,
There are some types of config sync failures which apparently don't get logged or logged completely. This was noted in BZ370525. 11.1.0HF2 should improve the error reporting. This cumulative hotfix is due out shortly.
I'd encourage you to open a case with F5 Support to note the issues you're seeing, the lack of logging and suggestions for what you'd like to see to help troubleshoot the failure. I know development is working hard to improve the situation, but more input always helps--especially from customers.
If you do open a case, could you post the number so I can follow it?
Thanks, Aaron - gta_34274
