Sync Only Policy Sync not happening automatically
Hi I was having trouble getting ACL's to sync in a configync only group. After going through this I have managed to get ACL’s syncing. I achieved this by unticking the ACL’s as being location specific.
I have added a couple of other acl’s to test that they automatically sync over and while the sync status shows both devices are in sync the new ACL’s won’t sync unless I kick off a manual policy sync.
Can anyone advise on how I can set this so that when a change is made it then automatically syncs or if I can set a sync interval? I have been searching around and can’t find any info on how to achieve this although I am sure that this should be happening.
Also, when the acl’s are created they seem to be selected as location specific. Could this be the reason that they are not auto syncing across? If it is, when creating acl’s how do I make them so that they are not location specific (the only things that are location specific for our setup is things like the dhcp pools)?
Automatic sync is enabled along with full sync and save on auto sync.
If you could offer some advise on this it would be appreciated. I am running BIG-IP v12.1.2 on both boxes.
Many thanks in advance for your help.
Best regards

Hi,
I have the same issue with your case also running same version 12.1.2. although I just learnt from you that manual sync is able to update ACLs.
best regards, RK
