it was explained to me as steath redirection....from dev.

I can redirect the URL to the new one.. but they dont want to see the news.xxx.com only www.abc.com/news

when HTTP_REQUEST {
  if { [string tolower [HTTP::uri]] contains "/news" } {
     HTTP::redirect "http://news.xxx.com "} 
}
