ssl TPS hardware limits
Dear all, Does anyone know how Big IP behaves, if the ssl TPS reach the hardware maximum. For example: A Viprion 2150 Blade with max TPS. As far as I can see it is able to Handle 10000 ssl TPS (the maximum this hardware can handle as written on the datasheet) Is the licensing ssl TPS check still running as if there would be a 10000 ssl TPS license be installed. (the license file states “unlimited”) Does the system drop if the 1/100 of 10000 TPS limit is reached within the 10 ms window? I guess it is, because the SSL transaction (TPS) rate limit reached messege occurs. Or does this 10 ms sliding window mechanism no longer exist and the system handles as much as the hardware is able to do ?
Thanks and best regards Frank
- TortiAltostratusthe maxmum SSL TPS depends on key size, too. bigger keys = much lower TPS maximum
- frank_helwig_17Historic F5 AccountYes I know. So lets use 2 k keys. 2150 has 10000 ssl TPS for 2 k keys.
please read this, you should find the correct answer:
