ssl tps limits
3 TopicsSSL TPS Limits
Hello All, We've been performing load testing for an application that is going to be deployed in the near future and during that load testing I noticed that our 8950 LTM going over the base license 500 tps for SSL, typically it would drop back down below the threshold pretty quickly never remaining above 500 for more than a second or so. After reviewing SOL6475: Overview of SSL TPS licensing limits it sounds like it might be best to upgrade the SSL license so that SSL connections aren't dropped? Just wanted to get other members experience with this. Thanks, Brian482Views0likes5CommentsBIG-IP 1600 TPS limit calculation
We have big-ip 1600 and this is what i am seeing to figure out how much TPS it can handle f5cat /proc/cpuinfo | grep processor | wc -l 2 f5grep -i "perf_SSL_total_TPS" /config/bigip.license perf_SSL_total_TPS : UNLIMITED we have 2048 key size. how do i calculate how many TPS my box can handle? I am reading here but in that example they didn't say anything about UNLIMIRED. https://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/solutions/public/6000/400/sol6475.htmlSolved534Views0likes4Commentsssl TPS hardware limits
Dear all, Does anyone know how Big IP behaves, if the ssl TPS reach the hardware maximum. For example: A Viprion 2150 Blade with max TPS. As far as I can see it is able to Handle 10000 ssl TPS (the maximum this hardware can handle as written on the datasheet) Is the licensing ssl TPS check still running as if there would be a 10000 ssl TPS license be installed. (the license file states “unlimited”) Does the system drop if the 1/100 of 10000 TPS limit is reached within the 10 ms window? I guess it is, because the SSL transaction (TPS) rate limit reached messege occurs. Or does this 10 ms sliding window mechanism no longer exist and the system handles as much as the hardware is able to do ? Thanks and best regards Frank361Views0likes4Comments
