Spanning Tree Protocol
Any suggestion about this configuration? Is it needed to have both configured with RSTP mode?
Thank you,

On mine I have both set to pass-through with 0 instance configured only - simply the default configuration.
Hope this helps

You definitely do not want to have one with STP enabled and one without - suppose that STP is required to break loops in your network. When you failover (say, due to a disk failing in the active), your network will go down because the new box fails to break the loop.
If you don't need STP, then you should disable it on the active box as well. - Luis_Castro_538

We have 2 switches behind two LTM's and 2 switches in front the LTM. The LTM's are in Active/Passive, when having this configuration the Passive LTM ports are disable when standby? Or do we need to implement STP in order to avoid looping?
Can you please help me with this?

Set them to pass-though. That way YOU don't have to worry about STP versions, whether to do per-VLAN, and more importantly don't mess up the spanning tree calculations for root bridges that your network team have probably sweated over for days to get just right.

I am trying to find the spanning-tree configuration options on a BIG-IP LTM 1500 platform, but there does not seem to be available. I just need to confir, is spanning-tree actually available on this platform? I am running software version 11.4.
Thank you very much.
