Source IP address affinity

Hi,

 

One of our partner that connect trhough our F5 load balancers has an outbound a load balancer which can come from a few IP address. We need to be able to set persistance coming from them. I've looked at SOL7004 and I believe something like that would work. Can I create a custom Proxy Address Data Group and specify my partner's custom IP address ? If not, is there a solution to achieve this ?

    you want to set x number of IP addresses to the same persistence, or you want to a specific IP address to a specific persistence?

    You can use the steps outlined in SOL7004 to handle this scenario.

     

    To do so, you'd:

     

    • define the IP addresses and/or networks in an address data group
    • configure this new data group under System | Configuration | Local Traffic | Persistence
    • create a new Source Address persistence profile with 'Map Proxies' enabled
    • apply the custom Source Address persistence profile to the virtual server(s)
