SNAT Pool same IP as VS
Hi all, Not used SNAT pool before in action, always relied on Automap. Can anyone think of any issues if the SNAT Pool member (only 1 in use) is the same IP address as the virtual server itself? Seems wrong to me but it may not make a difference.
Thanks N

I've done this many, many times at high volume, not a problem in any way. L2 MAC and source ports sort it all out.

It works perfectly you just have to be careful on your routing configuration. Your virtual server IP is probably not ine the same network than your webserver.
So before doing anything like that, be sure that your default route on your webserver is your BIG-IP.

Works just fine. All comments above considered. It makes for 1 less FW rule to boot. Although if you use tcpdump to capture input/output on the VIP you'll need to be a bit more verbose in the filtering statement...
