SIP session stickiness with or without iRule
Is it necessary to create an iRule for SIP session stickiness, for the case that a SIP session is created by a payload in the system? In this system, there are a number of traffic instances, installed in payloads. A traffic instance may create a SIP session; the SIP session traverses the F5 Big-IP. The Big-IP ensures SIP session stickiness for this SIP session. SIP session stickiness can be accomplished through Big-IP configuration or through iRule. Hence, the question whether we would always need an iRule?
For SIP persistence, you will not need an iRule.
