Server Persistance : Cookie Hash

Can I use an iRule to set server persistance?

 

 

I have a situation where I have a pool which has 2 servers

 

1) earth

 

2) mars

 

 

I would like the server to set the persistance so

 

 

I created a persistance cookie with the following configurations:

 

name: Amcookie

 

Configurations:

 

-Cookie Method: Cookie Hash

 

-Cookie Name : BIGipSserverS1_NT_AM

 

Hash Offset: 1

 

Hash Length: 1

 

 

I assigned this profile to my Virtual server but I cannot get this persistance to work.
