routing issue

Hi,

We have a pair of Big-Ip's for internal use. Since the poolmembers and clients who connect to the virtual servers are both in the local network, I expect the poolmembers to route the traffic back to the client via it's internal interface instead of the external interface (back to BIG-IP). Is there a way to hide the clients behind an address, like on a firewall? We cannot change the default gateway on the poolmembers, because they are also used not in combination with Big-IP.

Thanks.

Ed

  • On the virtual server that you use, select advanced configuration and then select Snat pool - Auto Map. This will hide the pool member addresser behind the BigIP addresses.
